High Power Rifle (HPR) 

High Power Rifle at Seattle Rifle and Pistol association is shot on our 500-yard range and scored using our state-of-the-art electronic target system.

Rifles Allowed:

• Match rifles
• Service rifles
• F-Class rifles
• T/R Class rifles
• Any center-fire rifle with iron sights, no larger than .35 caliber

High Power Rifle - Match Details

• Matches are typically held the 2nd Saturday of the month (2024 match info PDF). See the calendar for exact dates.
• Registration in the clubhouse opens at 08:00 and closes at 09:00.
• Safety brief at 09:15.
• First round down range at 09:30.
• NRA membership is recommended but not required.

• Matches will be shot on electronic targets, no pit duty required. Bring your personal tablet or smart phone to view the electronic targets.
• Cost:
  • Registered Matches $30 Adult, $15 Junior.
  • Club Matches $20 Adult, $10 Junior.

Battle of Machias

The Battle of Machias is an aggregate of 4 matches consisting of a shooter’s best 3 matches from March through July, plus the August "Battle of Machias" match. Total 240 record rounds.

Additional Rules:

• No muzzle brakes are allowed at any match.
• Suppressors are allowed, but your scores CANNOT count towards NRA classification or match awards.
• Shooting from a bench will be allowed if a physical handicap warrants
