Get your firearm dialed in for hunting season at Seattle Rifle and Pistol Association.


The SRPA rifle and pistol range will be open to the public from 10 AM to 3 PM on selected days in September and October! See the calendar for open days.

RSOs and other club members will be on duty to assist you with zeroing your firearm.
  • $15 per day per shooter. Exact change appreciated!
  • Signed liability waiver required prior to shooting.
  • Chamber flags required, NO EXCEPTIONS Bring your own or buy one for $3.
  • Paper Targets are provided.
  • Targets will be preset at 50 yards and 100 yards only.
  • Shooting benches available but you may also shoot from standing or prone.
  • Spotting scopes and volunteer spotters will be on hand to assist.
  • Rifles, Pistol, Shotguns with slugs and Black powder are all welcome
  • All current SRPA range rules apply.

How to get here

The range is located near the village of Machias, east of Everett, WA.

  1. From Everett, take Hwy 2 eastbound across the trestle.
  2. At the eastern end of the trestle take the exit to 20th SE.
  3. Proceed on 20th street for several miles, across Hwy 9 an proceed to a traffic light at the South Lake Stevens Road (a Tom Thumb grocery and gas station will be on your left).
  4. Continue straight through the intersection for another mile to a stop sign at the Machias Cutoff Road.
  5. Turn right onto the Machias Cutoff Road and proceed straight thorough the next all stop intersection to Division Street (on your left in about a half mile). White "Machias" sign at Fire Department
  6. Turn left and follow the curvy Division Street past the Machias Cemetery.
  7. The range is on the right about 1/4 mile past the cemetery.



What you need to bring

At a minimum, please bring the following items:

  • Hearing protection (ear muffs, ear plugs, etc)
  • Eye protection is strongly encouraged but not required
  • Your firearm, in good working order
  • The correct ammunition for your firearm
  • The tools necessary to adjust your scope or sights (typically a hex key or small screw driver)
  • A positive attitude

What to expect

Upon arrival at Seattle Rifle and Pistol Association

  1. Follow the signs, taking the gravel road to right to make the short drive to the Rifle & Pistol range
  2. Park in the gravel lot or the adjacent grass area
  3. Put on Hearing protection and come check in at the RSO desk (Leave rifle and Ammo in the Vehicle)
  4. Complete a SR&PA liability waiver, read and acknowledge the range safety rules.
  5. Pay the $15 range fee and receive firing lane assignment and instructions from the on duty RSO.

After you are comfortable with your zero:

  1. Clear your rifle from the firing line when instructed to do so by the RSO
  2. Recover your gear and pick up any spent casings or trash from your shooting position
  3. Check out at the RSO desk after you have secured your rifle and ammo in your vehicle
